For a few years I’d been meeting with my wholistic health coach for testing with his EAV (Electroacupuncture According to Voll) system.  This is a German technology in which the client holds a bronze rod connected to the computer in one hand and the practitioner probes the finger tip acupuncture points on the other hand to complete a circuit to the computer.

It’s very effective at detecting specific health issues and remedies.  But it’s time-intensive and takes a quite a while for the practitioner to develop a feel for the technique. 

During these sessions I would sometimes grow groggy and start to doze off.  The second my eyes closed, the circuit was broken and Don would look up, smile, and shake me awake.
