King's Way Classical Academy Offers All the Benefits

Of A Classical Christian Education For Almost Nothing!

King's Way Classical Academy is the world's first online classical Christian academy for grades 7-12. King's Way presents a Christian homeschool curriculum of over 60 courses focusing on critical thinking and communication skills.  At each phase of this home school program students work to master these key disciplines, which have been expunged from the government schools. The King's Way Christian homeschool curriculum sets the new benchmark for classical education, steeped in the living Word of God. The Bible is not an add-on -- it is woven into the fabric of every course.  Annual tuition for the King's Way home school program is only $500.

THE "IVY LEAGUE" OF SECONDARY ONLINE SCHOOLS

It was Otto von Bismarck who once said, “Laws, like sausages, cease to inspire respect in proportion as we know how they are made.”  To that dubious pair a third must now be added:  namely, public education.

Of these three blackguards -- sausage, legislation, and public education – the latter may indeed be the blackest.   The National Inflation Association figures that college education is the biggest scam in the history of the United States and they’ve produced a one-hour video to document their accusation.

The Communist Origin of the Public School System

And because the child is the father of the man we must look to public education – primary and secondary -- as the father of the scam.  The term “public education” is a misnomer.  It is a euphemism for “government education,” which conjures a decidedly less flattering image.   As well it should be given its shadowy origins.  Those origins may be traced directly to none other than Karl Marx himself, the father of Communism.

This is stuff they don’t want you to know.  Stuff that’ll keep you awake at night.

Marx promoted almost any means, especially violent revolution, to introduce socialist dictatorship.  However, when it came to developed nations like the United States, he advocated gradual introduction of ten political goals.   Among others, those goals included abolition of private property and inheritance along with a graduated income tax.  But notice this.  The tenth and crowning plank in the Communist Manifesto is “Free education for all children in government schools….”

Imagine that.  An institution as “all-American” as baseball and apple pie – the public common school -- is a key ingredient in the Communist agenda.  In spite of its hypocritical claims, government education is anything but neutral.  Government education always has an axe to grind.  It will promote state aims, state goals, and state agendas, whether those things line up with Biblical and parental goals, or not.

If you know anything about the history of Communism in the 20th Century it is more often not. Here’s how it works in the Common Core curriculum now being force fed to the government schools in all but a handful of states:

The curriculum replaces the classics with government propaganda. According to the American Principles Project, "They de-emphasize the study of classic literature in favor of reading so-called 'informational texts,' such as government documents, court opinions, and technical manuals." Over half the reading materials in grades 6-12 are to consist of informational texts rather than classical literature. Historical texts like the Gettysburg Address are to be presented to students without context or explanation.

Because God is outlawed from the state curriculum, it means that every course, every lesson, indeed the entire institution is laced with humanist presuppositions and propaganda.   Chief among these is the blasphemous assertion that God is irrelevant to “real-life”, allegedly neutral education.

 Academic Child Abuse

The Bible presents a radically different perspective, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction”  (Pr. 1:7).  In other words, if your system of education excludes God, you can’t even get through kindergarten in terms of true understanding.  You may be “educated,” but according to the Bible you are an educated fool.

This is the ultimate form of child abuse:   Christian families abandoning the hearts and minds of their children to a Godless education system.  It is a fearful thing.  Martin Luther said it is akin to setting your child’s feet on the path to Hell.

“I am afraid that the schools will prove the very gates of hell, unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures and engraving them in the heart of the youth.” (Martin Luther).

Christian families who turn their children over to the government school system are gambling with their child’s soul.  Moreover, they are committing cultural suicide.  Imagine the children of Israel conquering the promised land and then turning their children over to “Canaanite U” for their education.  That’s how absurd it is for Christians to abandon the education of their children to the state schools.  This action is directly responsible for the terrible disintegration we are now witnessing in American culture.

Our Public School Is Different

(True, Its Actually Much Worse)

Almost everybody recognizes that there are problems with the government schools, but most are quick to add, “of course our school is different.”   To back this up they’ll say something like, “Our school is way out in the country, “ or “we’ve got mostly Christian teachers.”

Never mind the fact, that those Christian teachers have been trained in the government teacher-training institutions.  Never mind that they are required to teach from a non-Christian curriculum and text books.  Never mind that they are forbidden by law to integrate Biblical truth.

Under New York State’s Common Core requirements, excerpts from the book, Black Swan Green, are required reading for ninth graders. Black Swan Green features a 13-year-old boy as the narrator who graphically describes his father’s genitals and a sex act.  It has been suggested that because all of the excerpts do not contain explicitly sexual material some students would read only the required portions of the book.  Others scoff at the idea that once the books are in a student’s possession that the sexually graphic material would be skipped over.

And never mind the fact that the government schools are funded by unBiblical confiscation of your neighbor’s property.  Frederick Bastiat complained of this very thing in his classic treatise on “The Law” in 1850:

“You say:  ‘There are persons who lack education,’ and you turn to the law.  In this matter of education, the law has only two alternatives:  It can permit this transaction of teaching-and-learning to operate freely and without the use of force, or it can force human wills in this matter by taking from some of them enough to pay the teachers who are appointed by government to instruct others, without charge.  But in this second case, the law commits legal plunder by violating liberty and property” (The Law, p. 31).

God commands fathers of Christian children to “…bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4).  This is the path of true blessing for you and your children.  The very first verse in the Psalter says it all, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”

But many Christian fathers think they know better than God.  They excuse their child abuse with the rationalization that their son or daughter will be a “witness” in the public school.  Even if their child knows the “Four Spiritual Laws” backward and forward, inside and out, they will not be the evangelist in the public schools.  They will be the evangelee!

Their children will graduate with a non-Christian perspective on everything.  Their worldview will be humanistic.  Their understanding of everything -- history, law, economics, science and everything else -- will have a humanistic bent.  You may think this is not happening to your child, but it has been documented in over 20 years of worldview testing by the Nehemiah Institute.

Follow that link and notice the consistent downward trend in Biblical worldview scores recorded by Christian children in both Christian schools and government schools.  Only Christian children who are consciously taught in a method that integrates Biblical principles will graduate with a Biblical worldview.

You cannot evade the basic principle laid down by Jesus that the student will become like the teacher (Mt. 10:25). A spirit of anti-Christ pervades the government schools, where God is outlawed and Christ is despised. It all boils down to one simple question. Do you want your child to become like anti-Christ or like Christ?  Here’s a sample of what you get with Anti-Christ and the allegedly neutral math component of the Common Core curriculum in your local government school:

You can find questions relating to serial killers, food shortages, population control, drug lords, infectious diseases, oil spills, and loneliness.  You can also find dozens of questions that do not even remotely relate to mathematics at all but instead pushes collectivism, communal thinking and consensus.  Samples:

·         A serial killer is stalking the residents of Gloomy Falls, Mass., population 937. Every year the population diminishes by 4.5%. How many residents are left after the killer’s three-year rampage? HOW WILL YOU STOP HIM?

·         Strapped for cash, you decide to borrow money from a local crime lord. This turns out to be yet another instance of poor judgment on your part. At 22% interest per year, how much will you owe on a loan of %5,000 after one year? What about after three years?

But then of course there is always the rationale that without free government education, poor kids won’t be able to get an education.  Again we turn to Bastiat: “It is not considered sufficient that the law should be just; it must be philanthropic…it is demanded that the law should directly extend welfare, education, and morality throughout the nation…This is the seductive lure of socialism” (The Law, p. 25).

If you’re sick and tired of what socialism is dishing out, maybe it’s time to consider the alternative.  That’s where King’s Way Classical Academy comes in.  King’s Way is the “Ivy League” of secondary online schools.

King’s Way is truly unique among online schools.  Dan Smithwick, author of the PEERS test, had this to say about the worldview training in the King’s Way homeschool curriculum:

“Testing and training are the two indispensable tools for rebuilding a Biblical worldview.  A homeschool curriculum of generalized worldview training is essential.  To accomplish that I usually recommend aspects of the classical approach, even for schools that have not fully adopted the classical model.  Students educated by the classical, Christian approach consistently score highest on my PEERS worldview test.  The classical/Christian books and courses offered by King's Way Classical Academy Online are unique in the field.  Their Biblical analysis of the Classics is the best I've seen.  Students emerge from their

home school programs  with a solid Christian worldview.”

Top 10 Benefits

Bargain Basement Tuition

Bargain Basement Tuition

Only $500 annual tuition. Lowest among online schools. Our goal is to compete on price with the so-called “free” government schools. Now every family can afford a top-tier, classical Christian education. Whoever said that high quality and low price don’t mix hadn’t heard about King’s Way online education.

Classical Approach

Classical Approach

The classical core of subjects was purged from the public school curriculum over 100 years ago by John Dewey. Now they’re back. These online classes are the time-tested essentials for teaching young people the lost tools of learning: critical thinking and communication skills. They include Latin, logic, rhetoric and debate.

Biblical Worldview

Biblical Worldview

At King’s Way, worldview training is more than an obligatory cliché. It starts with a Biblical evaluation of the classics, replacing the "classical synthesis" that has plagued the church for two millennia. Several worldview lab courses focus specifically on evaluating alternative worldviews in light of the Bible (Islam, humanism, Communism, etc). Teachers strive to integrate the Bible into every aspect of the student’s online education.

Biblical Studies

Biblical Studies

Six online classes in Bible survey and theology complement and balance our six online courses in the classical literature. Study of the Great Book and the Great Books produce graduates with a world-conquering faith. Biblical studies alternate with, and complement classical studies in the homeschool program.

Great Man Approach

Great Man Approach

Representative figures and their "schools of thought" are studied in history, economics, art, music, etc. -- the so-called "Great Man" approach to historical studies. This approach brings history to life in the homeschool curriculum and makes it one of the favorite online courses of study at King’s Way.

Integrated Instruction

Integrated Instruction

Senior level practicum/seminar integrates great books study program and ushers the student into the "real world" with live debates and community projects. The popular Time Machine accessed off our home page helps students integrate their online courses. Each student develops an integrated Biblical worldview, beyond just mastering a group of isolated subjects in the homeschool curriculum.

Live Instruction

Live Instruction

Interaction with real teachers is non-negotiable in the classical approach to Christian online education. Students learn best in the context of dialectic exchange of ideas with their instructor and with their fellow students. The self-instruction approach of many of our competitors’ online schools is OK, but the dynamic classroom is better.

Dual Credit

Dual Credit

In-depth transcripting and testing option for students aiming for top-tier colleges. Better yet, is our dual credit homeschool program for the Biblical Concourse and other select Christian colleges. This is the Biblical alternative to the decadent and outrageously expensive American college system.

Biblical Accreditation

Biblical Accreditation

Even with the best of intentions, the world’s system of institutional accreditation leads inexorably to destruction of quality in education. This is documented in numerous studies and real life examples, such as the deterioration of the formerly Christian Ivy-League colleges. Biblical accreditation of education for online schools is local and cannot be divorced from the church.
